What air rifle would be more ideal for small game hunting/ pest control?
In .177 caliber what would be better for small game hunting or pest control? A rifle with FPS upwards of 1000 but the accuracy isn't very good, or an air rifle with FPS around 600 that has dead on accuracy? Also, please answer this question for rifles in .22 caliber.|||That's a very opinionated question. A very good question at that. There are many factors you must look at and consider: Feet Per Second (fps), caliber, shooting mechanism, brand, model, etc. In the category of feet per second your air rifle must shoot at least 1000 fps, if not more. For shooting mechanism break barrel would be just as slow as a pump rifle. I, myself would go for the break barrel (do not get this confused with top break, which is the term for revolvers). Crosman, if you will, is almost the generic brand for air rifles nowadays. Although Crosman is a popular company, they will have trouble producing what you should have for the price or msrp they suggest. Ruger makes air rifles that I think look just as good as their firearms. Even though I am a giant Ruger fan, I would suggest buying a Beeman air rifle. But, you must be very careful. Walmart may sell an air rifle with the Beeman name on it. Do not buy these. They most likely come from China. A real Beeman air rifle will come from Germany. This is a huge problem with the air rifle industry. They allow the Chinese to slam their name on a Chinese, poorly made piece of junk. Even Ruger does not make their own air rifles. A .22 caliber in an air rifle is practically useless. It only brings down the fps with a BARELY larger pellet. Go with .177 caliber for sure. Even though Beeman is a great brand, you can also get a good gun if you buy a Gamo rifle. My favorite would be the Gamo Viper. I have not extensively researched Gamo rifles, so I couldn't tell you where they are usually made. I would imagine they are made in the U.S. though. My suggestions should render you a bunch of dead squirrels or whatever you may be "hunting." In short, you should definetely go with a .177 caliber rifle with upwards of at least 1000 fps, and no less. Since it is your choice, if you end up with a .22 caliber air rifle, I would like to warn you, it is only for looks and/or bragging because it is a large caliber in terms of pellets. I hope you make the wise choice and have fun!|||%26gt;%26gt;What air rifle would be more ideal for small game hunting %26amp; pest control?%26lt;%26lt;
The ideal air rifle has both enough accuracy to do the job and enough power. You have to have both, it's not a one or the other thing.
A 1000fps air rifle(pellet gun) is useless without accuracy, and a 600fps air rifle that will only shoot the lightest of pellets(4.8gr) is useless for hunting(3.8ft-lbs), no matter how accurate it is.
%26gt;%26gt;fps%26lt;%26lt;
Very few airguns get the "claimed" up to MV when using average weight pellets. Real world(chronograph) results are usually anywhere from 10% to 25% lower than the "claim"|||Without accuracy power is irrelevant. I would go with 600 fps that is very accurate. Also, I would go with .22. Take a look at the RWS 34 or Benjamin 392. Both guns are known for their accuracy and adequate power.|||Daisy makes some good air rifles in .22.

My 12 year old son wants to go big game hunting. Any idea how much a guided bear hunt would cost?
In the western U.S. or Alaska? I would plan on waiting a few years until he gets bigger and more experienced (he fired a firearm and went hunting...duck...for the first time this year), just wondering if anyone has experience with big game hunting. I am a former U.S. Marine scout sniper and hunted non stop as a kid but just took it back up with my boy this year.|||Hunts of these kinds are usually very physically demanding and because of the nature of the game have a certain level of danger. I would not take a very young teen on one. Let him stick to deer for awhile. If you like, once he is good at that take him wild hog hunting. If he can handle that then think about something bigger and more dangerous.|||In the lower 48, the guide fees for most black bear guide range from about $1K to $2K. What is included in that varies widely. On the upper end of the scale, you will get a nice tent or cabin to sleep in, active bait (guided use of dogs, or guided spot and stalk, depending on the norms of the area), meals, preset stands, transportation within the hunting area, skinning of your kill, and transporting your kill to a butcher. The lower end of the fees tend not to include stands, lodging, food, or anything. Those usually will provide a truck ride to a hunting area, baiting (or again, whatever is normal for your area), and pick up you and your animal.
What is usually not included is licensing fees, airfare or transportation to the area, butcher fees, trophy fees (if applicable), guide tip, and taxidermy.
In Alaska, expect to double the prices. Possibly triple the price + if you are hunting in a remote area or an area prized for huge bears.|||If you use a gun then your not a real hunter, your just a barbarian. I do not know this outfit so I am not recommending them. This is just and example.
In Alaska baiting is allowed for black bears as long as the regulations are followed. For brown bear and grizzly you must have a guide but not for black bear. Some areas are very rugged others not bad at all. Also some areas have a high population of black bears and you will see many each day.
A metal barrel chained to a tree with holes punched in is the usual baiting technique. From a stand you can view the bears that come to check out the bait and determine if the pelt is free of rub spots and if it鈥檚 a female with cubs.
I agree that a deer hunt would be best to start out just because of the cash involed. But even a 12 year old should be able to place a shot on a black bear from a tree stand at 20 to 30 yards. Its not a difficult hunt with a guide. Going on your own is a completely different matter. Also our brown bears love to eat black bears. So once you shoot one you have to be prepared for the real possibility of a brown bear trying to take your kill.|||Hall of Fame Most Suspensions Well most guides charge by the day and game that you take. In Alaska, the going price right about $2600 for a 10 day trip. Most of the time you will have restrictions such as how much weight your allowed to bring especially on a fly in trip, with that being said, you'll have to often bring several items yourself. Such as Food, hunting and camping gear, personal items Hunting license and game tags River rafts and accessories if your hunt involves a float. There is usually places you can rent things from such as the rafts too. It will cost you all in all about $10,000. You can get packages that allow you to take more than just one game species too. Most outfitters do that these days.
Since your son is still so young. I recommend you get out there with him and start by teaching him what the difference is between a good bear, a small bear, and a boy bear and a girl bear. Most guides will tell you what they want you to shoot, and won't allow you to take any undesired animals. However if you happen to find one that uses a semi-guided hunt then its up to you to decide what you want.
Personally, with big game, I wouldn't throw him right into bear hunting either. I would start off taking him deer hunting. Deer are a rewarding big game animal to hunt, and bear sometimes go for several days without seeing one. This could dissuade your son from hunting, and no one wants that.|||Not likely that any responsible "guided ... hunt" operator would allow a minor to join the hunt - too much liability.

How will I feel after hunting game for the first time?
I am not eating the meat, but I am giving it to my friends. How will I feel?
Mostly Bird hunting.|||I don't know, I don't know you.
I was excited my first time. When I was a kid and got my first squirrel I ran straight home with it. LOL
They first time I killed something was a sick chicken we had. I felt strange for about a week after wards, kinda hard to put into words. Killing after wards still bothered me for a while but living on a farm it goes with the territory. In time you don't think about it. It's like swatting a fly. I think of Clint Eastwood in "Unforgiven" "I've killed 'bout everything that's walked or crawled"
Eat the meat, eat it with your friends, it will help you to realize the purpose of killing, food. That is really truly is what hunting is all about. Or should be anyway.|||I'm not sure if you're a vegetarian or are just put out by the thought of eating something you killed. If you followed the rules in your area (license, tag, proper weapon) and hunted the birds or animals in a humane manner and the meat wasn't wasted, you have nothing to feel bad about. Some people feel bad after the first time hunting. I'm not one of those. I was brought up in the woods and lived on a 150 acre cattle ranch. If you don't want to shoot pheasant, stick to those orange "pigeons".|||Hunting is something that man has done ever since man has been around. I know when I got my first deer I felt a lot of respect for that deer, joy because I was able to take it cleanly, and fulfilled that I was able to provide for my family in that way. After a while, I felt a kind of satisfaction, knowing that I had succeeded in becoming a little more self reliant. No longer would I feel that all my food had to come from the store or from a farm.
Everyone is different, it's not uncommon to see everything from joy to sorrow. I think it has something to do with a person's personal reasons for hunting.|||Hello, I actually just got back from my first game hunt...Dove. I scored 7 birds.
The actual shooting wasn't an issue for me and was in fact a lot of fun. But I've never had to kill an animal for food and clean it etc. So that part was really weird for me. Example was when I clipped a bird. The bird wasn't dead but shooting it again was out of the question since we're looking to save the meat. A point blank shot would blast the poor bird into micro pieces. So when this happened we had to kill them with our hands. I really wasn't pre-pared for that psychologically. Then cleaning the critters was another new experience. It wasn't all that bad but a little messy.
All in all, it was fun and I learned a lot from my first experience with hunting.|||Feelings difer from person to person , some find it excelerateing, others feel a down ward mode , some feel they are contributeing to managment .
As you get Older and i mean into your years you may find a total transfermation from hunting to kill to hunting to enjoy by looking or photo's .
Again this is one of those it's up to you Q's
Just to let you know the first time i shot anything i was proud, but feelings differ from situation to situation.
but what ever you do "Safety First" Be sure of your target and shoot clean and kill quick , a wounded animal is a suffering animal!
Best of luck !|||Admittedly, you are probably going to feel bad. Every time I kill an animal, there is a bit of a guilty pang in my chest, but it really doesn't "get" to me, as I know that I killed that animal for a reason... food.
Hunting is a sport founded on primal needs... food. It also carries a moral responsibility.
Point in short, you might feel bad afterwards, but if you don't waste the animal, then you just have to remember it's just nature... we are bound to kill as the other creatures in the wild do every day in order to survive.|||Most of the time after a taking of game you have the adrenalin of the hunt still going through you. The excitement/thrill/challenge is what keeps me coming back year after year. When I have a Tom turkey in close, like one time at 3 yds, and your heart is pounding so much your eyeballs are bouncing its a hard thing to forget and you want to reproduce that feeling again the next year.|||Depends on what you think about it.
First time I killed something (a deer), I didn't feel bad, no remorse or anything like that. I knew what was going to happen to it, I knew that there was a purpose/reason for it being killed. I hunt for a reason, not for the sake of killing something not only because its illegal where I live, but out of respect for myself and the animal.
No one can tell you what you'll feel because everyone's different. Different thoughts, different feelings.|||Listen dude im from down south and all we hear about is how we are all bambi killers and stuff. I killed my first deer a year ago and it was truly and adrenaline rush but also it gave me a feeling inside of pride and to tell you the truth sittin in those woods for hours on end really gave me respect for the beautiful and graceful creatures that deer really are. there is nothing wrong with hunting it is a great way to provide your family with nourishment just remember one thing its your responsibility to hunt them right dont take a shot you think you cant make and just hurt the animal. Aim hard and true brother.|||I remember the first deer I shot fairly well. There was some elation though it was more about making the shot than anything else. It was a good clean one shot kill offhand at around 70 yards. I do remember having some of the venison ground and mixed 50/50 with hamburger meat which made fantastic burgers. Though my girlfriend at the time really did not like my calling them bambi burgers, but she ate them anyway.|||I have never hunted anything. I have never killed an animal. But I think it would be a good experience. I know how to, but it is illegal where I live. The Indians believed in never wasting any part of the animal you kill. Always have a killshot. Never take two shots to kill it. I do hope to have a respectful, and good hunt someday. I dont know what It will feel like, and I am sure you are the same.|||i grew up in a hunting home.we were taught that its ok as long as it is eaten.i dont care for all wild game taste wise, but i love to hunt.so i give alot to freinds and family that like them.never felt bad for it,as long as it is used.only thing that bothers me is to shoot a animal and not being able to find or recover the animal, made me feel like i let it down.my 10 yr old son got his first squirrel last weekend,he said he was said, but grandma sure would like to eat it.....|||We're all different when it come to taking life no matter what form it is in.
Your doing nothing wrong if you hunt for food or to control feral animals. Kill the animal in as humane a way as possible with the least amount of distress and all your doing is taking your rightful place in the food chain.|||Who knows how you'll feel...No one can predict how you will feel. Just enjoy the outdoors and the time with your friends or family while you can. They leave us all to soon. Shoot well and the game will not suffer.
Good luck|||It depends on if you bag anything. I felt a rush and then a bit sad after my first kill so long ago. Just never kill game for the thrill alone. Its a waste, and even illegal in a lot of places.|||If you have any conscious at all, you will feel remorse for taking a life.

What is the best big game hunting bullet I can use ?
I don't re-load so it needs to be factory ammo. What is the best big game hunting bullet I can use in my 308 win. I will be using it on big Canadian whitetails and moose. I just want one bullet for both. What do you recommend ?|||Federal Premium "power-shok" 180 gr soft point. My friend shot a big Saskatchewan whitetail (167 non-typ and weighed 327 lbs) with these shells. Left an exit hole the size of your fist in him. He also shoots moose and elk with it. Drops em stone dead like that!|||Something with the Barnes tsx in 165 grain. Barnes makes there own ammo as well as sell to others such as federal, corbon. Hornady superformance with the GMX bullet would work as well. The nosler E tip would work as well. With the solid bullets like the tsx and GMX you won't probably find much in 180 grain loadings as they are longer than lead core bullets of the same weight and will eat up to much case capacity in a 308, stick with the 165's. If I was hunting moose with my 308 I would use the 200 grain accu-bond from corbon. 2550 fps out of a 22" barrel. That would be a great moose round, but I would be confident one of the above would take both animals.|||Hornady superformance gmx 150gr as long as it's not being fed thru anything other than a bolt action rifle. but you could check out nosler custom, barnes. federal vital shok tsx it uses the barnes tsx bulltet in 165gr.you don't need to use anything as heavy as 180gr on moose unless your shooting them in the shoulder. make a proper shot an you can use smaller bullet. partition is old skool. the barnes tsx solid copper or Hornady gmx transfer more energy inside the animal.|||Here's your problem. A large whitetail will weigh up to a couple hundred pounds while a large moose will weigh over 1500 pounds. Now, if you shoot either in the head with a .22/250 you'll kill 'em both. But if you were to shoot either in the chest hoping for a lung/heart shot, it would be not so good. So you are looking for accuracy and penetration. Accuracy is probably just a little more important. I'd go with the 180 grain but the 165 gr would also be a good choice. What you should do is buy a box of each and check for accuracy. Some guns will shoot one load better than the other. Ideally you would handload and that way you could do your own experimenting.|||Part of the answer is that with one bullet for both Moose and Deer you should be using a 180 grain loading. While heavy for Deer, it is needed vs 150 gr bullet's on the much bigger Moose.
One of the best tried and true Big Game bullets in .30 caliber is the Nosler Partition. You will not go wrong with a 180 grain Nosler Partition in .308 Winchester for these two game animals.
Another great Big Game load / bullet is the Swift A-Frame.|||I make that choice partly depending on which is most consistent and accurate out of my rifle. I've shot lots of elk with Nosler partitions in either 165 or 180gr. Very consistent and dependable.
Lately I've started using Barnes tsx 165gr which is the most accurate out of my new rifle (30-06). Good terminal performance.
I've always had the best luck with Federal factory ammo.|||Consider the Nosler Partition offered this way.

What do I need to do to go small game hunting in Arizona?
I would like to go small game hunting in Arizona. Do I need a permit or any other type of documentation? Do I need to apply for a lottery?|||To do any type od hunting you need a genaral hunting license. Then you need tags for nearly everything. There are only 2 game animals I know of you don't need tags for: rabbit and coyote. All winged animals need tags.
The thing with Arizona is that ALL tags with the exception of bird tags are lottery. Even javelina. But they give so many out its not likely you will be denied. But it does happen. Hell I have got my mule deer tag. Only took me 3 years.

What is the best small game hunting and pest control air rifle that I can get for $240 or less?
Please consider quality, accuracy, FPS and footpounds, and if the rifle needs a scope or if the iron sights work well.|||I second the recommendation of the RWS 34. It has a reputation for being far and away the best springer available for under $300. Its got a lifetime warranty backing up solid German engineering. Power is 14-15 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Accuracy is exceptional, say 1-1.5 inch groups at 40 yards when scoped. All in all its a great gun.
I'd give runners up to the Benjamin 39x series guns and the Hammerli 850 in co2. Power in both runs right around 12 ft-lbs muzzle energy, and accuracy is good. The Benjamin 39x guns have a reputation for quality and durability. Plus since they're pumpers you don't have to buy gas. The Hammerli might be slightly more accurate and its a repeater. I am wondering about the Winchester XP3 150gr for the 308 and the Winchester XP3 150gr for the 06. What is your opinion - I want a premium bullet.
*308 winchester
*30-06 sprg|||Sure that will work but its not the best choice at all. Moose require a heavy deep penetrating bullet with controlled expansion. For 30-06 a 165 gr or 180 gr controlled expansion bullet would be much better. For .308 a 165 gr, 170gr or 180gr controlled expansion round would be good.
A 180 gr bullet will drive deeper than a fast 150 gr bullet. The problem with some fast expanding 150 gr bullets is they may not go deep enough for a fast kill. However if your shot is right in the lung heart area a 150 gr bullet will kill the moose. Lots of moose ended up in a freezer from that round. But because I have seen it fail to anchor a moose quickly I won鈥檛 use it.|||I once saw a terrible video of two hunters shooting a moose. The animal was hit over twenty times (I'm not kidding) and didn't collapse. It was obvious the animal was "dead" and just didn't know it. In other words, the bullets had not hit the brain or heart/lungs and probably hadn't broken major bones. The lesson is, to kill a heavy (1500 plus pounds) animal you need a bullet that will penetrate, break major bones and do significant deep-tissue damage. So the heavier bullet would be preferred over the lighter bullet and 180 gr bullets would be better than 150 gr bullets. Next, bullet placement is at least as important as bullet weight. I've killed two moose, both with one shot. The first was a 180 gr .30 caliber (300 Weatherby Magnum) at about 100 yards. Hit him in the heart. He just collapsed. The second was a 300 gr. .375 H %26amp; H Magnum, about 150 yards, also a heart shot. Also collapsed. I suspect shot placement was as important as bullet weight.|||I agree with others that a 150 grain in anything but a barnes tsx bullet would be a bad choice. For the 308 here are your best options. 165 grain barnes tsx, 168 federal trophy bonded tip high energy(2880 fps and over 3000 ftlbs of energy) Hornady superformance 165 grain gmx or 165 grain interbond(interbond over 3000 ftlbs of energy) and last and probably the best, federal high energy 180 grain nosler partition(again over 3000 flbs) Most of these same bullets are available in a 30'06 just add 50 to 100 fps to the ammo. None are cheap but the 180 grain partition can be had online for under 30 dollars a box. Everything else will be in the 30 to 45 dollar range. What is the best large game hunting rifle?
Me and a friend are planning on going on a month long hunting vacation and i would like to know what is the best large game hunting rifle. I already have a gun but i would like to find the best.|||what exactly are you hunting, may i suggest 7mm, 8mm, or 300 win mag|||BEST? Or an m1 garand|||Shotgun or muzziloader|||Be a big boy and throw rocks until he goes down!|||Best? A BFG-9002. It's two better than a BFG-9000.
All sarcasm and joking aside, if you're planning on going on a month-long hunting vacation, you should already know the answer to this question. I would assume that the thousands of dollars you'll be spending are already in your bank account, no?
Now, if you really are going on a long hunting trip and you genuinely don't know what to get, let me give you some options:
1) A bolt-action .30-06, preferably a Savage 110 or Remington 700. Ammo is plentiful, with a good variety, and that firearm will take almost any game animal in North America.
2) A .300 Winchester Magnum has enough power to easily drop any game animal in North America, including bears, and can do so at very long ranges. It is, however, more expensive to feed than a .30-06, and ammo is harder to find. It also has more recoil, usually, and generally isn't suitable for close-range shots. The Savage 110 and Remington 700 are also good choices for this round.
3) If your shots are likely to be from a relatively short range, a .45-70 is a good, heavy-hitting round that is ideal in a lever-action gun such as a Marlin 1895.
There are other excellent guns and calibers, but these are three of the better guns available. If you're hunting moose or grizzly bear, though, you're going to want the .300 Win Mag. On the other hand, if you're hunting various animals, you are better off getting more than one gun. Whats the best all around hunting caliber for North American game?
Currently, when I hunt I use a 30-06 but I'm looking to make a new purchase. I am currently seriously considering both the .300 WSM and the 270 WSM due to the lesser recoil. The most hunted game will be white tail and wild hogs as of now but I do plan on other hunts in the future.|||12 ga. from squirrels all the way up to grizzly bears.|||You already have the Most Used, and Popular Caliber Big Game cartridge that is used all over the World.* If your concerned about the 30-06 Recoil just buy, and put a " Limbsaver Recoil Pad * on it.* It Reduces Recoil by 50%.* The 30-06 caliber can also be hand loaded to perform the same, and have the same capabilities as a 300 Magnum caliber if needed or necessary.* You have nothing to gain by upgradeing to the .300 WSM or the 270 WSM.*|||best all-around hunting cartridge for North America is either 30-06 or 270 winchester.
I personally would choose the 270 winchester under the assumption that it's flat shooting and less recoil is going to be more relevant than the slight increase in power. The ONLY place the slight increase in power a 30-06 delivers would be more important would be for moose, bison, and grizzly...and for those 3 the 30-06 can get the job done but is enough of a 'less than perfect fit' I could justify going to a 338 winmag or something.
As for you and your whitetail and hogs, pretty much any centerfire cartridge over 243/6mm is going to be plenty.
300 WSM and 270 WSM are way more gun than you need.|||A .300 WSM and .270 WSM are great rounds. Both will kill anything in the US. But the truth of it is if you can't kill it with a 30-06, you better be running. Though the 30-06 is an old cartridge, it is very versatile. It can take down any game in NA. If you have the fever for a new gun, go for it. But the old 06 will handle all you can give it.|||You already have it - the 30-06. There is a reason it has been as popular as it is for over 100 years. It is a terrific all around cartridge, it has a very wide variety of loads available and will take any game animal in North America.|||Uhh, maybe other folks with experience can verify this, but the two WSM cartridges you list pack more power than the 30 06, so I think you're looking at MORE recoil, not less. If that's the case, then you're probably better off sticking to the 06.|||If you reload, .30-06 is pretty good.
Otherwise I have always used .308 Winchester or .300 Winchester Magnum.|||The venerable 38-55 and the 45-70. Both have taken every game animal in North America, and have done it for over 100 years.|||your .30-06 is generally considered the all around cartridge, it's good for coyotes up to bison, brown bear and moose.|||You really are not going to do any better than the 06.|||.308 is the way to go|||Well, 30-06 is an awesome load and very flexible.
If you want to add a rifle to your arsinal that will take down ANYTHING, may i suggest that you take a look at the Marlin classic 1895 chambered in 45-70? The 45-70 is a VERY potent round and has long distence built into it blood, this round can fly over 3000 yards no problem.
Here is an excerpt from wiki about the round:
"After the Sandy Hook tests of 1879, a new variation of the .45-70 cartridge was produced, the .45-70-500, which fired a heavier 500 grain (32.5 g) bullet. The heavier 500-grain (32 g) bullet produced significantly superior ballistics, and could reach ranges of 3,350 yards (3,120 m), which were beyond the maximum range of the .45-70-405. While the effective range of the .45-70 on individual targets was limited to about 1,000 yards (915 m) with either load, the heavier bullet would produce lethal injuries at 3,500 yards (3,200 m). At those ranges, the bullets struck point-first at roughly a 30 degree angle, penetrating 3 one inch (2.5 cm) thick oak boards, and then traveling to a depth of 8 inches (20 cm) into the sand of the Sandy Hook beach*. It was hoped the longer range of the .45-70-500 would allow effective volleyed fire at ranges beyond those normally expected of infantry fire.[5
If you want a more modern Barrel Burner- the 7mm rem mag is used by secret service anti sniper detail, and sends a 140 grain load down range at 3100 fps- I personaly prefer the Browning X-bolt in 7mm rem mag
the sako a7 is also affordably chambered in 7mm rem mag, but has a bit more recoil due to its lite weight.
I might add that the 45-70 will be easier to reload because it's a straight case load, as opposed to bottleneck on the 7mm.|||.308 winchester is one of the best all around cartridges around, and is certianly suited for the vast majority of game in the us, it has the take down of the 30-06 without the punishing recoil, and best of all, most .308 round out preform the 30-06 balistically, hope this helps, have a good one

PC games like those I have listed that will work with Windows XP?
I need ideas of some games I could get for my fiance. He is really into games like Runescape, Diablo, Halo, and Call Of Duty...pretty much anything where there is a quest and a lot of battles.
He also likes hunting games, specifically ones that feature deer or other big game.
We do not own any gaming consoles, and he seems to prefer games he can play on his PC.
Can anyone give me some ideas, and maybe price the games you find for me, too?
Thank you!|||Gears of War and Orange Box are great, these are great First person shooters + in Orange Box you get like 5 games for the price of one (great deal) Typically PC games are around $50!.......GOOD LUCK!|||PC games are a tough thing to shop for. You have to have a half way decent machine anymore. Find out the specs on his comp (The processor speed, the graphics card, ram and use that as a base for games)
I'd suggest World of Warcraft. Especially because it's a quest game, (it is pay to play monthly) but if you can afford to buy two subscriptions..you can't go wrong with playin together. It's always more fun to have a team mate, who better then the one you love? The only draw back, is people can get addicted to it, so you may need to find a way to regulate your time. I play it a lot, I've got friends who play with their boyfriends and girlfriends a lot..so it can be a real life eater..either way, it's fun.
He seems to be a fan of shooter style gaming. I dunno how well he handles quick paced action games (You could look into Crysis, or unreal tournament)
World of Warcraft would run you to about 60+ dollars for both games (with a third on the way at the end of the game) and the sub can be from 14.99 a month to (With a downed cost for all at once subscription) 74 dollars for 6 months (at a cost of 12.99)
The other games are of course new, so they'll be around 50+ dollars. The BEST thing to do is go on a website like amazon and try to find it all out that way. I believe they offer system requirements to play these games.
Assuming your fiance plays Call of Duty 4 on his PC, sounds like he already has a good system.

Does Photo Hunt games make you smarter?
I have a couple free photo hunt/spot the differences games on my iphone and I have noticed I have been getting gradually better over the months. I don't play it too often to remember the pictures and where everything is, just enough to pass the time.
I was wondering if playing this game is a "workout" for your eyes or brain. I've heard of intellectual games like "Brain Age" that supposedly make you smarter, but could photo hunt games also make you smarter? Or at least quicken your reaction time?|||Games like these are great for your brain. Each part of your brain needs to be worked to keep it in action. These games work several parts of your brain. There is strong evidence that they also delay diseases such as alzheimers also.
If you like these sorts of games go to gamehouse.com these have a free game each day to download and a lot of them are hidden object games. I love them. Another type of game you may love and will work your brain really well are escape games. Here you may be stuck in a house, a car, a lift etc and you have to find clues around you and escape. I'm addicted!!
Enjoy!!|||It doesn't necessarily make you smarter but it does make your brain perform better. The brain is only a muscle, the more you use it the more reliable it becomes, what you do with the information is on you. Albert Einstein had larger cells or something in his brain that was bigger then the average human, but only because he challenged himself with math problems every day, making his brain more dependable in that area. Its also proven that if you continually educate yourself and learn something new, your brain will stay keen up until old age.

You could also go to the library and search the shelves for many project books and magazines.|||Check different woodworking magazines like "Weekend Woodcrafts." Or Shopnotes, Workbench, etc. Go to your library and see what they have to offer. There are several choices to choose from. Also, next time there is a craft show or Boutique in town, go there and just look around. That's where I got a lot of my ideas. I used to make Flag cases for memorial flags you get at a funeral. I sold several to different funeral homes, and VFW halls. I also use to make and sell kids footstools. they were about 6-8" long and about 5" wide. Just 1X6,with the corners rounded off and routed. The total height was about 5-6" high. The parts that were on the floor were shaped just like a small bare foot. About 6" long. There are all kinds of cool things to make. Good luck

Downie gets 20 games for going head hunting, Do you agree?
Should the NHL and other leagues be this tough on hits like this?|||Didn't look much worse than the average Scott Stevens hit. I feel bad for Mc Cammond, he seems like he's probably a real nice guy.
Was the hit excessive, yes.
Did Downie leave his feet, probably.
If he left his feet, as it appears in the video, should he be suspended, yes.
20 games? NO. 8 to 10 at the very most.
Before getting overly tough on hits like this, I'd prefer to see the NHL get rid of the stickwork similar to the job put on Brian Berrard. Who was it that high sticked him in the eye, and what happened to that player (remember, high sticking doesn't have to be intentional to be deemed an infraction).
Next, I'd like to see the NHL take action to secure the safety of fans visiting certain cities where women are beaten by local male fans following playoff games. Seems like a far more important issue to deal with and should have some priority.|||I don't know what do you think? Is there a hunting game that is realistic, that has the animals make their own calls like the elk makes and elk sound and the deer makes the deer sound? I'm looking for some new wii games, either a game where you get to shoot something, though I don't want a hunting game (ex. of games I'm looking for: Medal of Honor, Links Crossbow Training.) I'd also like a game with an original idea (ex. Mirrors Edge.) And if possible an online mode.|||Call of Duty World at War(online)
Metroid Prime 3
House of the Dead 2%26amp;3
Ghost Squad
Resident Evil 4
Medal of Honor Heroes 2(online)
Upcoming:
The Conduit
The House of the Dead Overkill|||I have Ghost Squad for the Wii. It's a rail shooter, so you don't get to move around much...it's fun on multiplayer though. You can choose from three campaign missions or practice missions. It's a pretty good game really great with the Zapper.
The best game I think for the Wii shooting wise is 007 Quantum of Solace. It's has really great gameplay, online mode, multiplayer capabilities, and is easy to pick up, yet challenging to master. That's probably my favorite game on Wii right now.
Also, COD is on Wii. I don't like it that much but hey, it's a shooting game.
If you want another rail shooter, Resident Evil is fun as well. It's quite scary and will keep you on the edge of your seat and it's full of action.|||The Conduit should be right up your alley. It's a fantastic FPS, complete with 360-level visuals, and 16 player online. It hits stores this June.
Want original? MadWorld should be just for you. You play as Jack, a man with a chainsaw for an arm, competing in an illegal gameshow, where he must kill every single person left on a deserted city, and they want to kill him. The unique combat (you can use ANYTHING as a weapon), and visual artstyle (It's all black %26amp; white, with the exception of all the blood), make this a must-buy. Hits stores in early March.|||Call of Duty: World at War is the best shooting game for Wii by far, no comparison.

i want to buy a hunting game for ps3 that you can hunt mostly any hunting animal like birds or quail(which is also a bird) and bears, moose and other animals i want it to be kind of like 1st person shooter not 3rd person and how much does it cost. thnx|||Fifa 11. Drogba is like a bear. Around $59 i think? Go on PSN and hunt n00bs|||There aren't many good hunting games for the ps3 but I would recommend red dead redemption even though it's not primarily about hunting but you can hunt in it :)
Is there a PS2 hunting themed game that uses a GUN controller?
I'm looking for something for my niece who loves the shooter games in Bass Pro Shops where it simulates hunting deer or fishing. Is there a game along the same lines of the Cabela's games only compatible with a gun controller? Thanks!|||I would swear I have seen them in stores before. I am at work and can't do this as its blocked, but go to gamestop.com and type Cabela's into there search. I think something should come back, and if not you should be able to find it on cabela's website itself.

Why has no one made a decent hunting game?
I've been playing 'The Hunter' recently (www.thehunter.com). Its a good game but the membership is like 拢40 a year and its online, not developed by an established dev team etc etc. Why has no one thought to make a decent open world hunting game, it seems like such an obvious theme for a game. I think there is a hunting simulator you can buy for pc but its terrible. anyone have any ideas on why there exists 'Bus simulator' but not a good hunting game?|||because more people like mindless shooting at another person online, and no company has been smart enough to make a good game, except cabelas big game hunting is pretty fun.|||Because everyone everywhere is a dumbass.

What is The best xbox 360 fishing or Hunting Game?
I want to buy my brothers a good fishing game or hunting game for x box 360. Anyone have any suggestions?|||i would have to agree and say the rapala game, it has very good graphics and is more of a real life type fishing than a simulation type, fish look realistic, and there is a little bit of a challenge landing the big ones.|||hmm im not too sure...
I have a friend that played the Rapala fishing game for 360, he said it was good. If there is a Deer Hunter game for 360, that's probably a safe bet. Cabelas Big Game Hunter has never disappointed me either, and I think they just made a new one for 360 too.

How can I use the rain and wind to my advantage when hunting game birds?
How will the rain and wind affect the hunt at hand??? What difference can I expect to see;as compared to hunting game birds on a nice n sunny day??? How can I use this bad weather to my advantage??? Thanks for the answer|||What kind of birds? Pheasants, quail and such will be buried in the thickest weeds and cattails trying to stay warm. Ducks and geese fly more because they get cold sitting on the water. Turkeys don't seem to care one way or the other, but the wind and rain make it possible for you to get away with a little more movement and noise. As with any game animal, you need to understand why they do what they do when they do it if you are going to try to predict how they will react to certain things (like weather).|||we need more info. what kind of game birds?|||I agree more info is needed. If you are hunting grouse they will be in the trees. Pheasants trend to hunker down in the rain and snow and may hold tighter. If you have a dog rain makes it hard for your dog to pick up sent. Ducks and geese are more likely to be flying low in bad weather I have had some of my best duck hunts in blinding snow.|||Don't sit down wind of the game. They will smell you long before you ever see them. Use the wind to blow your scent away from the animal.|||The rule of thumb is that if it is windy and rainy, pour another cup of coffee and kick back because the hunting that day is gong to suck and you will spend the day wet and cold as a bonus. Windy days means bad hunting for all game and rain screws up bird hunting with or without the wind.

What are some good guns for hunting game?
I know basically nothing about hunting and game, and i live in NE Ks and i would like to know more about this, and maybe some good information about Kansas fish and game.|||12 ga pump shotgun does well for everything but long range deer shots. What are the easies wii games to play? hunting and fishing games?
We are getting the kids a wii for Christmas. My daughter is 9 and my son is 5. My son is the one which concerns me. He is physically challenged and has only two fingers (lobster claw) on his right hand and only one finger on his left. He is very capable of doing lots of things. Here's my question for all you experienced WII players (we have never played a WII), what would be the easiest games for him to play? Looking for/need advice on xbox360 deer hunting games?
My boyfriends birthday is coming up. I'd like to get him 1 or more xbox 360 deer hunting games.
My boyfriend enjoys hunting deer, sometimes turkey. Mostly deer.
One day we were shopping he noticed a wii deer hunting game that included a gun for the game and he lit up and wanted it so bad. However we only have an xbox360.
I looked online, and the only xbox360 deer hunting games I could find are
Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 for xbox360
Cabela's North American Adventures for Xbox360
My questions are:
1.) Do you know anything about eather of those games listed above?
a: do they work?
b: which one is better and why?
c: tell me a little about what you do in the game
d: or are they both not worth buying
Last question is:
2.) Are their any other DEER ONLY hunting games for xbox360 that you know of?
A: If so what are they called?
B: Which stores can I look for them at?
C: Where online do I look for them?
D: Why do you recomend them?
E: What do you do in the game?

Lots of unlockables (in the form of shooting galleries)
Shooting galleries galore, and they're very fun. Often times there are more animals than you can squeeze a trigger at. I'd estimate it should take at minimum 50 hours to post decent scores in all the shooting galleries.
Replayability is very, very high... as the galleries are plentiful and engaging.
Gun / wii-mote %26amp; nun chuck holster is ingenious. Very well put together and thought out.

I figured with a rear projection screen, we could get off a number of shots before it died. We left the TV outside and it rained before I got a chance to try it. P.S. Don't buy any game for the wii that has a gun, play it and you will see why.
There is a deer only game called cabelas trophy bucks I haven't played it though|||Either one. They should come as a package with a gun (controller) for around 60-70 dollars. If the gun has a scope, he can look through it to "track" his prey. The scope also illuminates the vitals (heart and a pair of lungs) and gives him a bronze-gold medal for his kill. Either size, distance or difficulty determines the medal, and I bet he will always go for gold-he's killin' something.
I don't think there are any DEER ONLY games. He will have to be a equal opportunity killing machine.
My wife got me the N American Hunts, its fun and the gun makes it more interactive.

ineed this for my son who wants to learn to hunt|||ok i see both sides of hunting, i personaly enjoy hunting very much and am relatively good at it, and from 1st hand exp the best way to learn to hunt is to actually go hunting. why, i didnt know anything bout hunting when i first went, exept gun safety. before you are aloud to hunt at all, you have to go to a hunter safety class, i took mine at a Gart sports store. but most of my hunting skills my dad taught me, or i taught myself. my opinon, thats the best way to learn, 1st hand exp.
P.S. it would be an exilent idea to got target shooting 1st, to get a feel of how to use a gun.
P.P.S. im not gonna call he 1st guy that answered a moron, i see both sides of hunting. but think about this, 100+ years ago, people couldent just go to the grocery store and buy hamburgurs, you had to hunt for your food. was it wrong to hunt back then?

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer a free downloadable version of the game. That said, there are a bunch of ways to play nowadays.
Option 1) Using the "Find a Location" feature on our player sites (www.bigbuckhunter.com or www.bigbucksafari.com), you'll be able to track down the closest bar/restaurant/arcade with an online-enabled Buck Hunter. Bat your eyes at someone there and maybe they'll pay for you to play!
Option 2) Thanks to a collab with Super Happy Fun Fun, Big Buck Hunter Pro is now available in the iTunes app store! If you've got an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, I guarantee you'll get more than enough bang for your buck. Pun intended.
Option 3) If you don't feel like leaving home to play and don't have an iAnything, we also have a Plug n' Play home version we made with our pals at Jakks Pacific. It's available in most major toy stores!
Option 4) Be patient! We've still got an ace or two up our sleeves that I can't tell you about just yet.

What is the best hunting game on xbox 360?
ok so i like the original hunting games where you actually have to walk around and TRY to hunt, i dont like the ones that are like arcade where you stand and shoot, or where the game itself just really sucks, again i prefer walking actuall trying, what would you say is maybe the best game? please no stupid answers, thanks!|||I know that feel bro. There are no hunting games nowadays that aren't scripted. The older ones aren't linear. Some are, some aren't, Google is your friend.|||Left4dead hunting for zombies
